Oregon Court Records Search - Common Questions

Will my search provide court documents?
  • This service does not currently provide court documents. Our service provides a comprehensive search of Oregon Circuit and District court cases. Examples of our search results are available on our web site.

What is the turnaround time for my search?
  • Oregon court search results are immediate; results show on-screen at the time of the search.

My search results did not find the case I am interested in. Why?
  • Results are based on an exact match to the name input. If a name is input as "Jane J. Smith", and the court record has the entry as "Jane Smith", this record will not be found. It is better to be broader in the search input than more restrictive. It is important to only enter one name at a time. Entering a search as "Jane Smith or Jones" will result in no records being found.
  • It is also important to look at the dates that court records came on-line; most courts came on-line in the mid to late 1980s. Records prior to these dates will not be found using our service. Our website lists these dates as well as the dates that the data is current to. Oregon data is updated monthly.

I have not received my results. What do I do?
  • No worry. Use our "search again" facility. This is available for up to three months from the date of your original search. Search again as many times as you like for any reason.

I still have questions. How can I have these answered?
